Modesty is a central essence of New Care Communication and marks a conscious departure from pure sales orientation and boastful practices. Instead, it focuses on the provision of consistent, relevant, and useful health information.

Core Aspects of Modesty

  • Focus on epistemic patient needs instead of promotional measures

  • Provision of carefully selected, high-quality content instead of an overload of information

  • Abstaining from exaggerated advertising promises to strengthen credibility

  • Efficient use of resources by focusing on essential information

The modest care communication aims to create real added value for patients while simultaneously enhancing the integrity and reputation of the healthcare institution. It aligns with the ethos of healthcare and fosters a trusting relationship between institution and patient.

This form of communication manifests in deliberate restraint. It is not about artificially generating attention but about earning recognition through authentic performance.
