From mid-2025, 44 BKK health insurance providers will survey their policyholders about quality. The results will be incorporated into improvements and demonstrate that patient feedback is crucial in choosing the best health insurance company.

Starting in mid-2025, 44 out of around 65 company health insurance funds (BKK) will survey their insured persons about the quality of the health insurance funds, beginning with telephone interviews and later online. The results of the surveys will be made available to the health insurance funds individually and published annually at the BKK level to improve quality.
The feedback from the insured is crucial for choosing a health insurance fund, as quality often becomes apparent only in case of need. The SBK is guided by international examples, such as the national strategy of the Netherlands, to systematically integrate patient feedback.
