The Causal Layered Analysis (CLA) is a method for deconstructing complex phenomena. It dissects surface issues (litany) into their underlying systemic causes, worldviews, dominant discourses, as well as deeply rooted myths and metaphors (myths and metaphors).

The goal is to enable alternative future scenarios and develop transformative solutions by uncovering hidden assumptions and power structures.
